Matt Kelly is a Litigation Counsel in Debevoise & Plimpton’s New York office and a member of the Data Strategy & Security Group. His practice focuses on AI governance, regulatory compliance and risk management, cybersecurity, and data privacy. He advises clients on litigation, investigations, and regulatory matters involving complex technology- and data-driven issues, including data governance, model risk, and quantitative tools. Matt has led advisory, litigation, and regulatory matters involving algorithmic trading, cybersecurity, and data governance, including matters before the SEC, CFTC, FINRA, and the New York Attorney General. He is ranked by Chambers for Privacy & Data Security, recognized by The Legal 500 US for Cyber Law, named an “AI Visionary” by Relativity in 2025.
